WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

  • We are Family/Family History - On going             11 am – 2 pm                        Presented in the Family History Center

The Stake Family History Center will be open with experts to help you begin, learn indexing, search for a hard to find name, or get names Temple ready.

  • Service Project – On going                                       9 am – 5 pm                                        Primary Room

We will be making pillows for breast cancer patients.  You can cut, sew or stuff and you will be able to take the ones you make back to your hometown and donate them to a hospital or center of your choice or you can leave them for the Leland Ward Service Group to deliver to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Join the Seven Stake Single Adult Choir to master a hymn to be sung at our 5 pm Keynote presentation.

The Sanders’ know a little about difficulties but what would seem like the most difficult task given to them is one of their greatest joys.  Over thirty years ago, their baby girl was not given a lot of hope to live but live she did.  In her maturity, the Sanders’ have taught their daughter that there is nothing that cannot be overcome.

  • Keynote Speakers – Catch the Wave                                                                                       Chapel 

Presented by:  Jonathan and Ethel Maynes                               5  - 6 pm

Brother Maynes is a Developmental and Research Chemist and his wife Ethel has a degree in Nutrition and Food Science, both graduates of Utah State University.  Together these two scientists caught the wave that brought them all the way to the east coast and will share their insights into following the Lord’s plan.

The workshops are set up at allow everyone a chance to take free time whenever they would like.  The morning workshops will all be offered again at an afternoon spot so you don’t have to miss any of topics but you may miss some of our guest speakers as they change out during the day.  If you want to spend the morning downtown or at the beach or any of the fun things our coast offers; the morning is yours.  Or, if you’d like to attend morning classes and spend the afternoon in the sand you can do that as well.  Have lunch with us, or without us if you need the extra time to play.  We’ll all gather for the keynote speakers at 5 pm and share a spectacular pig pickin’ by some of the best cooks on the coast at 6:15 pm.  We’ll top it all off with a fun dance at 8 pm. Look at our schedule and make it work for you!
